I would like to get a tattoo on my arm, and I have chosen a motif that represents persistence, determination in pursuing goals, and not giving up. It is a koi fish swimming upstream toward its destination despite the obstacles and dangers along the way. The Japanese theme seems really appealing to me, but it feels too literal. I was wondering if, based on the attached pictures, you could create designs that convey this idea in a slightly less obvious and more abstract way. I would like this tattoo to remind me that one must never give up and always keep moving forward, but I don’t want it to be too literal.
